Social Skills Groups
Individual training focuses on strategies to manage behaviors and building skills in a clinic setting, at home, and in the community. Challenging behavior is evaluated and a comprehensive behavior plan created to reduce the frequency of the behavior.
We strive to provide support to the entire family, including caregivers. Our skilled LMFT offers supports to parents and caregivers and helps to guide them through the unique caregiving experience for parents and caregivers of special needs children.
Weekly sessions lead by a trainer for kids and teens to meet other people with similar functioning levels while learning and practicing essential social skills in a group format. Sessions occur as groups are formed and run weekly for one hour in person at our clinic. Contact us for more information and our current schedule!
Parent Support Groups
Parent Training Seminars
Many parents find that sharing their struggles and successes in a group can help build community bonds while working through some common issues we all have with parenting young children. Each session is led by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who will help to work through common and specific parenting challenges and demonstrate effective strategies in a group setting.
Seminars are held monthly both in-person and via webinar. Click Here to learn more.
Family Training Sessions
Parenting doesn't always fall to the parents, many people tend to be caregivers which can lead to inconsistencies in the management of challenging behaviors. Family training sessions involve any person responsible for childcare.
Families with multiple children can also face come unique challenges. In family training sessions siblings are welcome to join to learn how to react to their sibling's challenging behavior so all family members are on the same page in regards to the treatment plan.
School Consultation
We support districts, schools, classrooms and individual students in both public and private settings, utilizing several ABA based consultation and training methods to help schools improve already existing systems or develop systems to improve behaviors of classrooms and individual students. We work collaboratively with the district, administrators, teachers, staff, paraprofessionals, and interdisciplinary teams to develop systems-wide behavior supports that promote student independence, positive behaviors, and greater opportunities for inclusion. In addition, we help teachers and staff implement effective teaching practices and classroom systems based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Our goal is to help all schools utilize the methods of ABA to increase staff competence in improving positive behaviors in all students, which will result in measurable academic gains for schools and students.
